It can be hard planning a party! follow these simple steps can help make sure everything goes according to your plan.

Make a checklist
Lists are great ways to stay on track. Write down some headings  ie: Invites, Venue, Party Bags, Timings, Decor, Cake..

Then make small points underneath this to add more detail.

Check the list regularly
Don’t forget to check in and see how you’re doing. Just because you haven't achieved all of them right away doesn’t mean you’re not making progress.

Book Early
Book your venue and entertainer from early. The worst thing would be that neither are available on the same day and time. Book earlier the better.

Think positively
Positive thinking is a major factor in success. So instead of mulling over things that didn’t go quite right, remind yourself of things that did.

One thing we know for sure is that most children know that at the end of the party they would usually be handed an awesome party bag! But it can be really tricky deciding what to put in them and offer a lasting memory of the special day. It is a good idea to make it fun, affordable and appropriate to the children age ensuring that there is something they would appreciate. Here are some ideas you can have a think about to let the children leave with a big smile on their faces. Glow Sticks & Bracelets Mini Bubbles Bouncy Balls Mini Colouring Sets Mini Craft Kits Adding a theme to your party bags If you are hosting a themed party, why not match the party favours to the theme! Superhero Masks Princess & Fairy Accessories Dinosaur Figures Under the Sea Pirate Eye Patches Edible Treats Sweet treats are always a favourite , but we do need to remember dietary and allergies. Here are some fun but safe options: Always check the ingredients and ask parents to let you know if their child has any allergies when sending their RSVP Biscuits Fruit Snacks Chocolate Coins Popcorn Packs – A light and tasty snack option for movie-themed parties. Tip: Always check with parents beforehand about food allergies and dietary restrictions! What to Avoid in Party Bags While there are lots of great options, there are also a few things to avoid: Too Much Sugar Messy Items Overly Small Toys

What can you do to relieve the stress? Get your invites out in good time Give them a clear date to RSVP You may have to plan for an extra 5 children even if they do not RSVP just in case Be clear of timings especially if you have an entertainer booked. This just prompts your guests to be on time Give your child (if old enough) the opportunity to chose their guests even if you give them a number to chose from Don't panic. From experience, usually it all goes to plan in the end
